Originally composed for three balafon players. Here I combine the most relevant motivs of the original parts. The chief problem hier was retaining the full emotional impact of the model and, especially after 1:50, achieving sufficient clarity in shaping the competing counter-melodies.
If you play the piano, try to play the score using only your two forefingers, to get an idea about the difficulties of this one-man-version... By the way, on my CD Fenba I play a more sophisticated version.
